Attendance is available either in person or via Microsoft Teams.
With a number of Committee positions becoming available in November, this is an opportunity to meet the current holders of those roles, hear about their experiences, and ask any questions you may have before deciding whether to apply.

🎉 BDJLD invites you to attend its Special General Meeting (SGM) and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 2 November 2026.Special General Meeting
The purpose of the SGM is to consider and vote on proposed amendments to the BJLD Constitution.The proposed amendments are:
✅ Introduction of a definition of "Firm" to include sole practitioners, partnerships, limited liability partnerships, companies, alternative business structures and other legal entities authorised to provide legal services and regulated by the relevant professional or regulatory body.
✅ A consequential amendment to clause 5.1 to capitalise the defined term "Firm". Annual General MeetingAs part of the AGM, elections will be held for the 2026-2027 Committee. If you'd like to play an active role in supporting the junior legal community and shaping the future of JLD, we would love to hear from you!
Please review the role descriptions (attached) and submit your application to 📧 contact@bdjld.co.uk in accordance with the following guidelines:
✅ Applications should be submitted in Word format and be no longer than 500 words.
✅ Please include your name, firm, area of expertise, and the role(s) you are applying for.
✅ Explain why you would like to undertake the role and why you would be a good fit.
✅ Applications must be received by 🕔 5.00pm on 30 October 2026.You are welcome to apply for more than one role.
